As school starts back across Cherokee county, it has been an incredible summer here at Shoal Creek Baptist Church! Amber and I have been so blessed to be a part of all God is doing here at our church. To everyone who is engaged in the mission of Jesus Christ in our church, thank you!
I’m incredibly excited for the next few days and weeks about all God has planned. Because of the flurry of activities here at the church, I wanted to stop and acknowledge some important reminders. If it makes it easier for you, you can view a list of upcoming events and important dates too.
Next, I’d like to make sure you are aware that several church ministries are starting back this week.
- Wednesday Night Bible Study – 8/3 at 6:30PM – we will begin Wednesday night Bible study this week with an 11-week study of the Gospel of Matthew. We will meet each Wednesday from 6:30PM to 8PM.
- Sunday School – 8/7 at 9:45AM – this Sunday morning we will start meeting weekly for Sunday school. As this ministry begins, we will have one class that will study through the Letters of the New Testament, beginning with the Book of Romans.
- Sunday Night Discipleship – 8/7 at 6PM – this Sunday night we will begin meeting weekly at 6PM for Sunday Night Discipleship. This Bible study will have an emphasis on evangelism and will cover a variety of core, Biblical topics designed to help us be more effective when sharing the Gospel.
Next, I’d like to invite you to join us on Saturday 8/13 for our Reinhardt University outreach. We will be meeting at the church at 8:15AM to ride to the school together. During this outreach, we will be handing out goodie bags and helping freshman move into their dorms. We will be on campus from 9AM to 1PM.
